Project Care Mission

Project Care Mission

OUR MISSION

The mission of ProjectCARE is to improve the life skills and mental health of individuals and families, who have been traditionally underserved and marginalized through prevention, intervention, support, and education.

Features Overview

Who Do We Serve?

ProjectCARE believes there is a significant need in our communities here in Shreveport for counseling and therapy that responds to the realities of mental health issues that have either began during the pandemic or were pre-existing issues that have been exacerbated through the pandemic. Such as anxiety, depression, grief, and thought of suicide.

The project will include private group counseling sessions that will be facilitated by Licensed Professional Counselors.  Follow-up and additional services will be provided by Caseworkers.

PROJECT CARE

ProjectCARE provides services by licensed professional counselors and other mental health care providers. Services will be focused on but not limited to, pandemic adverse childhood experiences, adult and young adult trauma support, as well as coaching other faith based groups on how to become “trauma informed” congregations/institutions. Project Care will also serve as a site that can help the community to access other needed social services.
